Yes. Drivers ages 21–24 may rent a vehicle subject to a Young Driver Surcharge:

Drivers 25 and older are not subject to the Young Driver Surcharge.

All renters and authorized drivers must have a valid driver’s license and provide any additional documentation required by Jersey Drive.

Yes. Jersey Drive requires time between reservations to inspect, clean, refuel, and prepare each vehicle.

- Customer pickup: Minimum 8-hour interval

- Vehicle delivery: Minimum 12-hour interval

These intervals may be extended when additional cleaning, maintenance, repairs, or preparation are required.

The minimum rental period is 2 days.

There is no predetermined maximum rental period. Extended rentals are subject to vehicle availability, payment arrangements, insurance requirements, and Jersey Drive approval.

Long-term rentals may require periodic renewals, additional payment authorizations, inspections, or updated rental documentation.

Yes! Extended-rental discounts are available:

- 7–14 days: 7% off

- 15–29 days: 10% off

- 30+ days: 15% off

Unless otherwise stated, discounts apply to the base rental rate and cannot be combined with other promotions or coupon codes.

Yes. A refundable security deposit is required at the beginning of the rental.

- Cars & Small SUVs: $250

- Full-Size/Large SUVs: $500

The deposit may be applied toward amounts owed under the Rental Agreement, including excessive cleaning, smoking remediation, fuel, tolls, violations, excess mileage, late fees, damage, missing equipment, or other authorized charges.

The security deposit does not represent the maximum amount for which the renter may be responsible.

Applicable New Jersey sales tax will be added to taxable rental charges.

Current New Jersey Sales Tax Rate: 6.625%

Any other applicable taxes, governmental assessments, or legally required fees will be separately disclosed.

Each rental includes 150 miles per rental day.

The total allowance is calculated across the entire rental period. For example, a 5-day rental includes 750 total miles.

Excess mileage will be charged according to the vehicle category and the applicable Excess Mileage Rate disclosed on your Rental Summary.

Current rates are:

- Full-Size/Large SUVs: $0.75 per excess mile

- Mid-Size SUVs: $0.60 per excess mile

- Cars: $0.45 per excess mile

The applicable mileage allowance and excess-mileage rate will be disclosed before your rental begins.

Yes. Jersey Drive offers vehicle delivery and pickup within the designated service area surrounding Haskell, NJ 07420.

For rentals of less than 7 days:

- Delivery and pickup within a 20-mile radius: $75

- A 3-day minimum rental is required for delivery service.

For rentals of 7 days or longer:

- Complimentary delivery and pickup within a 25-mile radius.

No. Jersey Drive does not provide vehicle delivery or pickup in New York.

Delivery and pickup are subject to availability, parking accessibility, scheduling, and advance confirmation.

Delivery and pickup arrangements require a minimum of 24 hours’ advance notice.

Custom locations, times, and special arrangements are subject to availability and must be confirmed by Jersey Drive in advance.

Yes. Vehicle pickup and return are available 24 hours a day with advance arrangements.

Contactless pickup and return may also be available using a secure lockbox.

The designated location must have legal and accessible parking available. Customers must follow all pickup, return, lockbox, key-return, and vehicle-return instructions provided by Jersey Drive.

Yes. Pickups and returns outside normal customer service hours are permitted with advance notice and confirmation.

Yes. Renters and authorized drivers ages 21–24 are subject to:

- Cars & Small SUVs: $35/day

Yes. Customers may select a prepaid fuel option before the rental begins:

- Full-Size/Large SUVs: $85

Vehicles returned without the required fuel level will be charged the actual cost of replacement fuel plus a $15 refueling service fee.

Yes. Jersey Drive provides a 30-minute grace period.

After the grace period, a late-return charge of $25 for each additional 30-minute period may apply, subject to the Rental Agreement.

Additional rental charges may apply if the vehicle is retained long enough to constitute an additional rental period.

Yes. If Jersey Drive must retrieve a vehicle because it was abandoned, improperly returned, returned to an unauthorized location, or otherwise requires special recovery, a retrieval fee starting at $250 may apply.

Additional towing, storage, transportation, parking, or recovery expenses may also be charged when applicable.

Yes. Approved additional drivers age 25 or older can be added at no additional-driver fee.

Every additional driver must:

- Be disclosed to Jersey Drive before operating the vehicle

- Present a valid driver’s license

- Meet Jersey Drive’s eligibility requirements

- Be listed as an authorized driver on the Rental Agreement

Drivers ages 21–24 are subject to the applicable Young Driver Surcharge.

No. Unauthorized drivers are prohibited from operating Jersey Drive vehicles.

No. Renters are responsible for all tolls incurred during the rental period, as well as parking charges, parking violations, traffic citations, camera violations, and other charges attributable to their use or possession of the vehicle.

Jersey Drive vehicles may be equipped with an E-ZPass transponder for customer convenience.

Yes. Certain tolls and violations may not be received by Jersey Drive until 30–60 days or more after the rental ends.

The renter authorizes Jersey Drive to charge the payment method on file for eligible post-rental tolls, violations, penalties, and other amounts owed under the Rental Agreement.

A valid Credit Card Authorization must be completed as part of the rental process where required.

Yes. Routine cleaning associated with normal vehicle use is included in the rental price.

Ordinary exterior dirt and normal vacuuming will not result in a cleaning charge.

Yes. Vehicles requiring cleaning substantially beyond normal rental turnover may be subject to an excessive-cleaning charge of up to $350, depending on the vehicle’s condition and the cleaning required.

Examples include:

- Excessive trash

- Food or beverage spills

- Significant stains

- Excessive mud

- Excessive sand

- Unauthorized pet hair

- Sunscreen residue or staining

- Other excessive interior contamination

Biohazard cleanup or extraordinary professional remediation may be charged separately based on the actual documented cost.

Yes. Beach use is permitted. However, renters are responsible for removing excessive sand and sunscreen residue before returning the vehicle.

Excessive sand or sunscreen residue requiring professional detailing may result in a $250 detailing charge.

No. Pets are not permitted in Jersey Drive vehicles, except where required by applicable law.

This policy helps protect our vehicles and accommodate future renters who may have allergies.

Unauthorized animal hair, odors, stains, or damage may result in additional cleaning or remediation charges.

No. Jersey Drive maintains a strict smoke-free fleet.

Smoking or vaping of any kind is prohibited inside the vehicle, including:

- Cigarettes

- Cigars

- Marijuana/cannabis

- Vapes/e-cigarettes

Any other smoked or vaporized substance

Evidence of smoking or vaping may result in a smoking remediation charge of up to $250.

If professional remediation exceeds that amount, additional documented remediation costs may be assessed when permitted under the Rental Agreement and applicable law.

Smoking-related charges are separate from any charges for physical damage to the vehicle.

Using air fresheners, fragrances, sprays, or other products to conceal evidence or odors associated with smoking does not eliminate responsibility under the smoking policy.
